The Knoxville Water Works is currently accepting applications for a

Water Treatment and Distribution System Operator.

Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent required.  Iowa DNR Grade 1 operator's certificate issued by the State of Iowa in Water Treatment and Water Distribution or ability to obtain within six (6) months of employment. 

 

Post offer employment physical and drug screening required.  Must meet Knoxville Water Works residency requirement.  Candidates must hold a valid Iowa Driver's license with no OWI convictions within the last five (5) years.   Candidates must  be able to work with the public and have strong customer service skills. 

 

Job Description: Primary function is to perform and participate in semi-skilled work as related to the operations and maintenance of Municipal water production and distribution systems.  Applicants must be available to work varying schedules, overtime, standby duty, and respond in a timely manner to after hour calls for service.
